Furnace Installation

When an Ottawa furnace dies in February, the wait list matters. We hold install slots open for emergencies and pull replacements in a single day where the venting and gas line cooperate.

For thirty-five years, Rick Menard Heating and Cooling has installed gas furnaces across Ottawa, Orleans, Kanata, and Barrhaven. We install Carrier, Comfortmaker, and Goodman equipment, matching the right unit to the right home rather than selling whatever sits in the warehouse.

Every install starts with a Manual J load calculation, not a guess based on square footage. Oversized furnaces short-cycle, undersized furnaces run constantly. Sizing correctly is the most important decision on the job, and it is the one most installers skip.

A standard furnace swap, where existing venting and gas line are sized correctly, completes in one day. Upgrading from a mid-efficiency unit to a 96% condensing furnace requires re-routing the venting, which adds a few hours. Our technicians are employees, not subcontractors, and every job carries our two-year guarantee on heating repairs.

Often paired with air conditioning installation when homeowners modernize the whole system, or with a maintenance plan to keep the new unit running clean through year ten. Serving Ottawa, Orleans, Kanata, and Barrhaven.
